the circle project
We start by tracking the walking and cycling route, talking to municipalities and organizations on and along the circle line and we start building the Circle4Change community. For the first event in 2025 we try to enthuse as many people as possible. At the same time as this event, at least in Leeuwarden and Nova Goriça, the two poles of the circle, activities and projects are organized that serve as an example in the following years for other cities and villages along the entire circle, including the construction of the first birthday forests. In the years between the triennial events, the local activities and projects are expanded, so that the circle line is anchored more and more and gradually becomes more visible.

a walking forest
The Walking Forest documentary tells the story of Bosk, an extraordinary land art project that brought over a thousand trees into the Dutch city of Leeuwarden (Friesland), forever changing the lives of its citizens.
